Water for Recovery

Following the January 2026 bushfires in Victoria, many households across regional communities have been left without safe water. Re-establishing water supply is a critical first step in recovery – enabling people to return home, rebuild and regain independence.

In partnership with BlazeAid and regional Bushfire Recovery Teams, the Reece Foundation is supporting communities across south-west and north-east Victoria by:

Supplying rainwater tanks to impacted households
Coordinating installation by volunteer plumbers/ volunteers with a heavy machinery licence
Prioritising support for residents unable to restore water access independently

Become a volunteer

From July to December we require 16 volunteers each week. The minimum commitment is two days. There are many opporutnities to be involved. If you're a tradie reach out..

Fund a water tank

Every contribution is tax deductible and goes directly to enable a household to regain access to water. If you would like to fund one or more tanks email contact@reecegroupfoundation.org. For every tank you fund, we will match it!

We co-designed a water solution with Mimal Land Management to meet the needs of the local community and to support the ambitions of their Healthy Country Plan.

Project Maa

The Reece Foundation trade volunteers supported the Project Hiu team over a three-week period to construct a rainwater catchment, treatment and filtration system at the local school that can be easily maintained.
